Article #2: Dilemma of being a Computer Science Student

"Are you a comp. science graduate?", asked a friend, "Yes, I am". What so great being a CS student?. I myself don't feel "great" rather than fortunate to be able to learn "formally" CS during my university time. Otherwise I might now graduated with civil engineering or architecture or surveyor degree if looking back my previous track for SPM (I am TI student - sekolah teknik).

To me, a CS student should uphold the credibility of being touted as an "expert" in this field, nowadays people labeled it as ICT (it just like putting a label on our floppy disk?). We as CS graduants should able to solve ICT problems when other people cannot do it, because we are CS graduates, aren't we?. BUT sometimes we failed, why?. let us discuss my view.

1.Lack of focus - It is normal to enjoy our life while we can (what a principe), but can we have back the past time?, do we value our time and opportunity given to us whilst we are in the university?. We tend to take things for granted (sometime), and when the time came short, we finish our job in a hurry which resulted a poor quality assingments, etc. We might feel satisfy when the result came out, it is not bad at all, but will the knowledge and experience gathered for that particular subject (i.e. programming) will last?.
